National Good Neighbor Day

September 28

Everyone! National Good Neighbor Day is September 28.

The day is sponsored and managed by The Hopeful Neighborhood Project.

The Hopeful Neighborhood Project was created to equip you with the tools and resources you need to engage your neighbors. That engagement will lead to deeper community connections, and those connections will help you create change in your neighborhood, to pursue the common good, right where you live.

A hopeful neighborhood is one where neighbors value and celebrate the unique people and places in their neighborhood, and National Good Neighbor Day is a good way to start.

Register your pledge at NationalGoodNeighborDay.org. You can share the Library Resource Kit with your local library and touch your whole community. Or, if you are in Missouri, you can participate in Missouri Good Neighbor Week from Sep 28 – Oct 4th.

NAN thoroughly encourages neighborhoods all over the country to go out and meet your neighbors, learn their gifts, build lasting connections and help build an enduring sense of “Neighborhood Unity.”

Share your acts of kindness on social media and tag @hopefulneighborhood with the hashtags: #startwithhello #ilovemyneighborhood #goodneighborday
